Sergio Romo went 3 strong innings and right fielder Max Kepler had 2 base hits
and 3 RBI as the Dyersville Jurassics defeated the Chicago Colts by a score
of 10 to 9 at the ballpark.
Dyersville scored the winning runs in the bottom of the 8th inning when they
tallied 6 runs on 6 hits. The crucial at-bat was provided by Kepler who
brought the crowd to their feet when he doubled bringing in two baserunners.
Chicago tried unsuccessfully to come back in the 9th.
The win was credited to Ryan Pressly(2-0) who went 1 inning allowing 1 run.
Keone Kela preserved the game for Pressly, recording his his 25th save. The
loss was charged to Dylan Floro(5-2) in relief. He was unable to retire a
batter giving up 2 hits and no walks.
