26,169 fans watched an exciting game at the ballpark. The Woodfield Roadkyll
topped the Aarlington Aardvarks by the slimmest of margins, 7 to 6.
Justin Bour enjoyed a big evening at the plate. He cracked a solo homerun in
the 1st inning, tripled which scored a run in the 3rd inning and doubled in
the 7th inning. Aarlington tried unsuccessfully to come back in the 9th.
The victory was credited to Kyle Gibson(12-3) who went 6 and 2/3 innings,
allowing 5 runs. Michael Lorenzen recorded the save, his 2nd. Mike
Clevinger(4-11) was the loser. He surrended 4 homeruns in his 2 and 2/3
innings.
When questioned about the loss, Steve Linke said, 'The fans got to see an
exciting game out there tonight. Unfortunately, we couldn't get it done this
time. Next time, though, we'll be the clubhouse with all the smiles.'
