Hunter Renfroe had 5 hits and 4 RBI as the New York The Yanks topped the
Chicago Colts by a score of 11 to 7 at West Side Park.
Renfroe had a great evening at the plate. He ripped a single in the 2nd
inning, doubled in the 4th inning, doubled scoring a run in the 6th inning,
launched a three-run homer in the 7th inning and laced a base-knock in the
8th inning. Chicago was not lacking for run support as they scored in 5
separate innings, yet victory eluded them as they seemed to forget that
pitching is also needed to win ballgames.
Fernando Rodney(3-1) was the winner allowing 1 run in 2 and 1/3 innings. Mike
Montgomery(3-3) was charged with the loss in relief. 'I felt great out there
tonight,' Renfroe said, 'Maybe I should make a regular habit of getting to
bed on time!'
