The Gotham Gold Gloves edged the Dyersville Jurassics in 11 innings at the
ballpark by the score of 5 to 4.
The score was tied at 2 after nine. Gotham won the hard fought contest in the
11th inning. Kolten Wong ripped a one-base hit. Chris Iannetta came next
and he laced a base-hit. Paul Goldschmidt then drew a walk to load the
bases. Tommy Pham was up next and he hit a deep fly scoring the run. Gotham
won despite being out-hit by Dyersville 12 hits to 6.
Jeurys Familia(1-3) allowed no runs in 1 and 2/3 innings, and picked up the
victory. Jose Alvarez(0-2) was the losing pitcher in relief. The Gotham
ballclub's record now stands at a division leading 42-35. With this loss,
Dyersville has a 5-5 record of late, 40-37 overall.
