Ryan Zimmerman lofted one into the 'cheap seats' and had 2 RBI as the
Hollywood Marines man-handled the Tampico Stogies - the final score was 15 to
5.
Hollywood jumped out to the early lead in the first inning scoring a single
run on 2 base hits. Jose Altuve drew a walk. Two outs later Zimmerman
stepped in and he banged out a single. George Springer then doubled scoring
the run. Hollywood provided plenty of action in the 3rd inning when they had
4 runs on 5 hits. Offensively, Hollywood was a juggernaut. They scored in 6
separate innings.
Gio Gonzalez(2-3) went 5 and 2/3 innings allowing 1 run for the win. Nick
Kingham recorded his 10th save. Steven Matz(2-1) was the losing pitcher. He
was knocked around by Hollywood, allowing 9 hits and 2 walks in 2 and 1/3
innings.
