Keone Kela quieted any hopes that Chicago may have had of a comeback and Yairo
Munoz blasted a homerun and had 2 RBI as the Dyersville Jurassics beat the
Chicago Colts by a score of 7 to 6.
Chicago never recovered after Dyersville took the lead in the 3rd inning
scoring 2 runs utilizing 3 base hits. After two were out J.T. Realmuto
opened up the rally as he banged out a single. Tyler O'Neill stepped up to
the plate and he smashed a two-run homer. Dyersville bats were very
productive in the 4th inning which saw them score 3 runs on 3 hits.
Dyersville finished with 20 hits while Chicago ended up with 12.
The win was credited to Daniel Mengden(2-1) who went 5 innings allowing 5
runs. Mengden got relief help from Kela who gained credit for his 13th save.
The loss was charged to Jordan Lyles(0-2). He was not very effective,
surrendering 5 runs in 3 innings.
The Dyersville ballclub's record now stands at 24-29. With the loss, the
Chicago ballclub's record is 23-30.
