In a close game it was the blistering-hot San Ybel Islanders 6, the struggling
Oakland Athletics 4 at Oakland Coliseum.
Danny Duffy(12-5) had a fairly solid outing. He went 6 innings allowing 10
hits and 1 walk. Both teams ended up with 11 hits on the night.
Adam Warren recorded his 10th save. Eduardo Rodriguez(6-9) was charged with
the loss. He served up 3 gopher balls in 7 and 1/3 innings.
'I always am most impressed when a pitcher finds a way to win even without his
best stuff,' Craig Ahrndt said after the game. 'Duffy did not have command
of his pitches most of the night, but he proved he really knew how to pitch!'
