Yoenis Cespedes added four ribbies to his seasonal total with one swing of the
bat and Brad Brach closed the door on Oakland as the Dyersville Jurassics
staged a dramatic comeback over the Oakland Athletics by a score of 13 to 11
at Oakland Coliseum.
Dyersville scored the winning runs in the 9th inning when they tallied 5 runs
on 4 hits. The highlight belonged to Cespedes who silenced the crowd when he
launched a Grand Slam homerun. Dyersville finished with 17 hits in the
victory.
The winning pitcher was Miguel Castro(5-5) who allowed 4 runs in 2 and 1/3
innings. Brach was credited with his 26th save. Matt Boyd(2-7) was the
losing pitcher. He surrended 3 homeruns in his 9 innings.
Wth the win Dyersville now has a record of 51-88. With this loss, Oakland has
a 3-7 record of late, 49-90, worst in the division overall.
