Left fielder Rhys Hoskins blasted a homerun and had 3 RBI as the Vernon
Hillbillies topped the San Ybel Islanders by a score of 5 to 3 at Long Grove
CG.
Vernon promptly took the lead in their half of the first scoring 3 runners on
3 hits. The key at-bat was by Hoskins who made the home-town crowd a happy
bunch when he lost the ball over the fence for three runs. Both teams ended
up with 8 hits on the night.
The win went to R.A. Dickey(7-13) who allowed 3 runs in 6 and 2/3 innings.
Jake Junis was credited with his 1st save. Kendall Graveman(6-3) was tagged
with the loss.
