T.J. Rivera hit a homerun as the Hollywood Marines defeated the Oakland
Athletics by a score of 6 to 5 at Oakland Coliseum.
The deciding run was scored by Hollywood in the top of the 9th. Jonathan
Lucroy lined a one-base hit. Orlando Arcia came next and he laid down a
sacrifice bunt. Matt Carpenter then laced a base-hit scoring the run.
Oakland had 14 hits in the game while Hollywood had 8, but Hollywood had the
more timely hits.
The victory was credited to Chris Devenski(2-1) who went 2 innings, allowing 1
run. Tyler Olson gained credit for his 3rd save. Scott Alexander(2-2) took
the loss in relief.
The Hollywood ballclub's record now stands at 47-29. With this loss, Oakland
has a 4-6 record of late, 30-46 overall.
