Junior Guerra came through with a solid 6 innings and first baseman Logan
Morrison had 2 base hits as the seemingly unstoppable Columbus Crowd defeated
the Tombstone Huckleberries in 11 innings by the score of 3 to 2 at The
Horseshoe.
Both teams had scored 2 runs after nine full innings. Finally, Columbus
pulled the game out in the 11th inning. Christian Yelich drew a walk. Manny
Pina was next and he drew a walk. Morrison then ripped a one-base hit making
Columbus the winners and sending the 51,410 fans home happy. Columbus ended
up with 11 hits for the game while Tombstone had 3.
The win went to Kirby Yates(2-0) who allowed no runs in 2 and 1/3 innings.
Dellin Betances(0-2) was the loser in relief. Columbus won for the 9th
straight time.
