One run was the difference at Chase Field as the Dublin Pubcrawlers defeated
the Oakland Athletics 7 to 6.
Dublin tallied 3 runs in the 5th inning when they came up with 4 base hits.
The critical plate appearance was by Joey Votto who elicited a roar from the
hometown fans when he doubled bringing in two baserunners. Oakland
threatened in the 9th but their rally came up short.
Seth Lugo(3-1) was the winner allowing 1 run in 6 and 2/3 innings. Lugo got
help from Kenley Jansen who was credited with his 7th save. Jameson
Taillon(0-1) suffered the loss.
'It's a disheartening loss, no question about it' said Joe Ingraffia 'But we
have to get over it and get ready for the next game.'
