In a thrilling finish the Woodfield Roadkyll won in dramatic fashion coming
back to beat the Dyersville Jurassics by the count of 7 to 6.
Woodfield had the winning rally in the 9th inning scoring 2 runs on 2 hits.
After an out was recorded, Ezequiel Carrera keyed the rally when he singled.
After another out, Steven Souza Jr came to the plate and smashed a two-run
homer making Woodfield the victors to the delight of the home town faithful.
Woodfield had 14 hits overall, while Dyersville had 11.
Aroldis Chapman(1-0) went 1/3 of an inning allowing no runs for the victory.
The loss was charged to Brad Brach(3-1) in relief. He allowed 2 runs and 2
hits in 2/3 of an inning.
