8,153 fans were treated to a fine game at Camden Yards as only one run
separated the combatants at game's end. The Burbank Tigers won by the
slimmest of margins, 8 to 7.
Both teams had scored 7 runs after nine full innings. Finally, Burbank pulled
the game out in the 11th inning. After two outs Curtis Granderson blasted a
solo shot giving Burbank the victory as 8,153 happy fans celebrated wildly.
Although they lost, Chicago did out-hit Burbank 13 to 8.
Brad Hand(2-6) went 1 inning allowing no runs for the victory. Kyle
Barraclough(3-2) was the losing pitcher in relief. He was unable to retire a
batter giving up 1 hit and no walks.
