Nori Aoki hit 2 doubles and had 3 RBI as the Streator Reds were badly beaten
by the potent Vernon Hillbillies, 15 to 4.
Streator was unable to claim the lead after Vernon went ahead in the bottom of
the 3rd inning scoring a single run on 2 base hits. That early run support
was enough for Aaron Sanchez(13-7) and Vernon. Vernon kept the scorekeepers
busy in the 6th inning which saw them plate 7 runs on 7 hits. Vernon
finished with 19 hits while Streator ended up with 12.
Michael Pineda(2-11) ended up with the loss. He was touched for 12 hits and 2
walks in 4 and 2/3 innings.
