Blake Snell whiffed 10 batters at the ballpark as the Aarlington Aardvarks won
in dramatic fashion coming back to beat the Yuma Desert Rats by the count of
3 to 2.
Aarlington came up with the deciding runs in the bottom of the 9th inning
plating 2 runs. Dustin Pedroia kicked off the action when he drew a walk.
Tyler Flowers stepped up next and he drew a walk. One out later, Marwin
Gonzalez struck out, unable to help the rally. Joe Mauer came up and he was
walked intentionally to load the bases. Jose Iglesias came up to bat and
ripped a one-base hit giving Aarlington the win as 26,744 happy fans joyfully
celebrated. The game was a scoreless duel until the 7th inning.
Hector Neris(2-2) picked up the victory, allowing 1 run in 2/3 of an inning.
A.J. Ramos(3-6) was given the loss in relief. He allowed 1 hit and 3 walks
in 2/3 of an inning.
