The hometown crowd was rewarded with a dramatic ending, as the Bozeman Bees
staged a comeback win over the New York The Yanks by the count of 3 to
2.
Bozeman scored the decisive runs in a big bottom of the 9th inning with 2
runs. Howie Kendrick opened up the inning nicely when he drew a walk.
Andrew McCutchen came next and he drew a walk. Nolan Arenado then hit a
single scoring a run. After an out was recorded, Steve Cishek then let one
slip out of his hand for a wild pitch making Bozeman victorious to the
delight of the the home town crowd. Bozeman won despite being out-hit by New
York 12 hits to 6.
Bud Norris(11-3) allowed no runs in 1/3 of an inning, and picked up the
victory. Neftali Feliz(0-5) ended up with the loss in relief. He surrendered
no hits and 2 walks without retiring a batter.
'What a win!', Norris said. 'These are the kind of games that stand out in
your mind at the end of a season.'
