In a good matchup it was the Gotham Gold Gloves 5, the Chicago Colts 3 at West
Side Park.
Chicago lost it in the 4th inning when Gotham did all their damage as they
scored 5 runs on 3 base hits. The critical plate appearance was by Didi
Gregorius who helped quiet the crowd when he doubled which was good for two
runs. Chicago threatened in the 9th but Gotham was able to put down the
rally.
The winning pitcher was Chris Rusin(5-3) who allowed no runs in 6 innings.
Adam Ottavino earned the save, his 4th. Tyler Chatwood(6-8) took the loss.
He struggled with his control issuing 6 walks in 3 and 2/3 innings.
'We didn't get the key hits when we needed them' Rich Domovic said. 'We did
what we could, we just didn't pull out the win. What can you say?'
