Kole Calhoun had 2 base hits at Busch Stadium where the Tampico Stogies beat
the Chicago Colts by the score of 3 to 2.
In the bottom of the 3rd inning Tampico scored 2 runs. Chicago threatened in
the 9th but their rally came up short. Kevin Gausman(10-7) picked up the
victory, allowing 2 runs in 6 and 1/3 innings. Edwin Diaz recorded his 6th
save. The loss was charged to Chad Bettis(9-4).
'We won because we did the little things right.' Mike Aldrich said after the
game. 'This is why we practice things over and over and over, so when we get
in close games we don't make mistakes.'
