Christian Yelich slammed 2 homeruns and had 3 RBI as the Columbus Crowd topped
the Chicago Colts by a score of 9 to 2 at The Horseshoe.
Yelich made sure the Columbus fans enjoyed themselves. He doubled in the 1st
inning, cracked a solo homerun in the 2nd inning, lined a one-base hit in the
6th inning and cracked a two-run shot in the 8th inning. Columbus kept the
pressure on throughout the contest as they scored in 6 different innings.
The winning pitcher was Joe Ross(3-3) who allowed 2 runs in 7 innings. Chad
Bettis(8-2) was the loser. By surrending 7 runs in 6 and 2/3 innings his ERA
jumped from 3.75 to 4.17.
'I was in my hotel room the other night, working on my swing and made some
adjustments,' Yelich said. 'I'm always working on it. If they are getting you
out certain ways, you've got to make changes.'
