Eugenio Suarez cracked 2 homeruns and had 4 RBI as the Burbank Tigers topped
the Caracas Leones by a score of 7 to 5 at Leones Field.
Suarez provided the offensive punch. He lifted one out of the park for a two
run home run in the 6th inning and popped a two-run clout over the fence in
the 8th inning. Caracas made it exciting in the 9th, but they were unable to
push the needed runs across.
The victory was credited to Drew Pomeranz(4-6) who went 8 and 1/3 innings,
allowing 5 runs. Nate Jones was credited with his 5th save. The losing
pitcher was Daniel Norris(1-1). Although losing the contest, he whiffed 8
batters in 5 and 2/3 innings.
