Chris Archer reeled off a total of 12 strikeouts at Busch Stadium as the
Tampico Stogies beat the Streator Reds by the count of 8 to 1.
Tucker Barnhart helped send the fans home happy. He lost the ball over the
fence for three runs in the 5th inning and doubled resulting in a run in the
7th inning. Tampico banged out 9 hits on the night.
Archer(7-4) went 6 innings allowing 1 run for the victory. The losing pitcher
was Jake Arrieta(8-6). Archer was pleased with his performance. He noted,
'I had good zip on my pitches. Just as important, my location was right on.
The fans really got into the game too - that always helps me. Now, if I can
only do that again in my next outing.'
