Adrian Beltre hit a homerun and had 3 RBI as the Gotham Gold Gloves destroyed
the San Ybel Islanders by a score of 10 to 0 at PNC Park.
Gotham set the tone of the game in the first inning scoring 2 runs. Buster
Posey led off and started the rally when he laced a one-base hit. Paul
Goldschmidt was next and he drew a walk. Neil Walker then drew a walk to
load the bases. Beltre followed next and he grounded into a double play
which plated a run. Drew Smyly then let one get away for a wild pitch
scoring the final run of the inning. That was all the runs Martin Perez(2-4)
needed. For the game Gotham out-hit San Ybel 13 to 7.
Smyly(1-6) ended up with the loss. He pitched 6 innings giving up 8 hits and
7 walks.
