The Burbank Tigers and the Dyersville Jurassics locked up in an exciting
one-run game at Camden Yards. The final score was the Burbank Tigers 7, the
Dyersville Jurassics 6.
In the 7th inning Burbank scored 4 runs when they came up with 4 base hits.
The key offensive moment was provided by Curtis Granderson who brought a roar
from the partisan Camden Yards fans when he lofted a three-run bomb.
Dyersville had a chance in the 9th but they came up short.
The victory went to Gio Gonzalez(3-2) who went 7 innings, allowing 3 runs.
Nate Jones preserved the game for Gonzalez, recording his his 1st save.
Scott Kazmir(0-1) absorbed the loss.
'You have to give Dyersville credit, they fought us tough to the end' Wes
Davies said. 'It could have gone either way, but I'm glad we pulled out the
victory.'
