Columbus surrendered all of the runs California needed in the 8th inning when
they tallied 4 runs on 4 hits. The key offensive moment was provided by
Pence who made the California fans a happy lot when he blasted a two-run home
run. Neither team was able to score until the 7th inning.
Tyler Lyons(1-0) was the winner allowing 2 runs in 2 and 2/3 innings. David
Robertson earned the save, his 2nd. Tony Watson(1-1) was the losing pitcher
in relief.
The California ballclub's record now stands at 5-8. With the loss, the
