In a good matchup it was the Tampico Stogies 5, the hopeless Hendersonville
Commandoes 3 at Englefield Green.
Tampico scored 3 runs in the top of the 7th inning when they had 3 base hits.
The critical plate appearance was by Josh Donaldson who deflated the spirits
of the home town crowd when he smacked a single plating two runs.
Hendersonville threatened in the 9th but Tampico was able to put down the
rally.
Nick Tropeano(1-1) went 2 and 1/3 innings allowing 1 run for the win. Kevin
Gausman was credited with his 3rd save. Michael Lorenzen(0-7) took the loss
in relief. He allowed 3 runs and 4 hits in 3 innings.
