Center fielder Starling Marte had 4 hits and 4 RBI at Oakland Coliseum as the
Dyersville Jurassics belted the Oakland Athletics by the count of 16 to
4.
Marte provided much of the offense. He delivered a solo blast in the 1st
inning, ripped a base-knock in the 3rd inning, doubled which brought home a
run in the 4th inning and ripped a base-hit which was good for two runs in
the 7th inning. Dyersville bats were hot in the 3rd inning which saw them
score 4 runs on 4 hits and the 7th inning when they had 4 runs on 5 hits.
The Dyersville offense man-handled the Oakland pitching staff as they scored
in 8 of the 9 innings.
The victory went to Aaron Nola(3-4) who went 6 innings, allowing 4 runs. The
loss was charged to Chase Anderson(7-12). He was knocked around pretty good,
giving up 6 runs in 2 and 2/3 innings.
