Martinez of a base hit. The Chicago Colts were able to stop their 5 game losing streak and edged the Tombstone Huckleberries at West Side Park by the score of 6 to 5. Chicago scored the decisive runs in a big 8th inning plating 3 runs using 3 hits. Adeiny Hechavarria led off and started the rally when he ripped a one-base hit. Matt Duffy struck out, unable to help the rally. Charlie Blackmon then ripped a base-hit. Blackmon took his lead and swiped second. One out later, Jose Bautista came to bat and was walked intentionally to load the bases. Brad Miller added to the rally and delivered a single which scored a run. Carson Smith then uncorked a wild pitch bringing home one more runner. D.J. Lemahieu then was walked intentionally to load the bases. Brian McCann was up next and he drew a walk scoring the final run of the inning. Tombstone threatened in the 9th but Chicago was able to put down the rally. Casey Fien(4-7) went 2 and 1/3 innings allowing 1 run for the victory. Luke Gregerson was credited with his 29th save. Glen Perkins(2-2) took the loss in relief. He surrendered 2 runs in 1 and 1/3 innings and saw his ERA increase from 2.37 to 2.66. 'It's been a rough ride lately, but this was a good win for us' said Rich Domovic, 'Maybe this will put us back on track.'
