Trayce Thompson blasted a homerun and had 5 RBI at Chase Field as the Dublin
Pubcrawlers beat the Tampico Stogies 14 to 8.
The home town fans were very appreciative of the fine hitting performance
provided by Thompson. He doubled scoring a run in the 1st inning, delivered
a base-hit plating two runs in the 6th inning and popped a two-run clout over
the fence in the 8th inning. Both teams totaled 13 hits on the night.
Francisco Liriano(13-9) got the win allowing 7 runs in 5 and 1/3 innings.
Steven Matz(1-4) ended up with the loss. This win by Dublin continues their
recent hot streak. In their last ten games, they have a record of 9-1. For
the season, they are 84-57. Still in a bad slump, with this loss, Tampico is
2-8 lately and 50-91, worst in the division on the year.
