as the Chicago Colts won a dandy at West Side Park over the Dyersville
Jurassics, 8 to 6.
Chicago scored the winning runs in the 9th inning plating 2 runs on 2 base
hits. After two were out Blackmon jump-started the rally as he stroked a
one-base hit. Darin Ruf was next and he cracked a two-run shot resulting in
a mighty exciting win for Chicago and the 9,258 home town fans in attendance.
Both teams finished the game with 10 hits.
The victory was credited to Bryan Shaw(2-6) who went 1 and 1/3 innings,
allowing 2 runs. Brad Brach(3-3) was the loser in relief. He allowed 2 hits
and no walks in 1 inning.
