Nelson Cruz had 4 hits and 6 RBI as the Burbank Tigers were badly beaten by
the Dublin Pubcrawlers, 12 to 0.
Cruz was spectacular at the plate. The hometown fans showed their
appreciation with a standing ovation his last time at bat. He hit a single
which brought home a run in the 1st inning, laced a base-knock plating a run
in the 3rd inning, launched a three-run homer in the 4th inning and lined a
one-base hit resulting in a run in the 8th inning. Dublin had 18 hits for
the game and Burbank had 7.
The win went to Madison Bumgarner(13-10) who allowed no runs in 7 innings. Gio
Gonzalez(5-9) was the loser. He allowed Dublin 8 runs in 3 and 1/3 innings
of work.
