Adam Wainwright was able to finish what he started and was credited with a
complete game as the Vernon Hillbillies bested the Dublin Pubcrawlers 6 to 3
at Chase Field.
Dublin was unable to claim the lead after Vernon went ahead in the top of the
5th inning scoring a single run. Vernon banged out 9 hits on the night.
Wainwright(1-0) lasted until the end allowing 3 runs for the win. Tyler
Clippard(0-1) was the loser in relief. He gave up 2 hits and 2 walks in 3
innings.
Vernon remained hot, improving their record to a division leading 87-40. They
