Curtis Granderson blasted 2 homeruns and had 8 RBI and Bartolo Colon had a
strong outing as the Dyersville Jurassics really laid it on the Aarlington
Aardvarks 21 to 0.
Granderson enjoyed a great evening at the plate. Every time he came up in the
latter innings, the crowd was on their feet cheering. He doubled which was
good for two runs in the 1st inning, lofted a three-run 'big-fly' in the 1st
inning and belted a three-run homer in the 7th inning. Dyersville lit up the
scoreboard in the 1st inning which saw them plate 11 runs on 11 hits and the
7th inning when they had 10 runs on 8 hits. Dyersville totaled 21 hits on
the night.
For Colon(10-7) it was his 2nd shutout this year. Dan Haren(3-14) suffered the
loss. 'He was moving it around and spotting it very well.' Steve Linke said.
Colon pitched a great game. He deserves all the credit.'
