At The Horseshoe, the Columbus fans witnessed a great pitcher's duel. Robbie
Ray(6-4) finally bested his Columbus opposite, Cole Hamels(7-12), by the
score of 3 to 0.

Columbus fell behind quickly as the Chicago offense came through in the first
inning plating one baserunner on 2 hits. D.J. Lemahieu banged out a single.
Rich Domovic then called for a steal which was successful. Adeiny
Hechavarria then delivered a base-hit scoring the run. The early run support
proved sufficient for Ray and Chicago. That was all the run support Ray
required. Chicago had a total of 7 hits for the game.

Luke Gregerson earned his 24th save. Hamels was tagged with the loss. He
allowed 5 hits and 2 walks in 7 and 1/3 innings.
