Jarrod Dyson had 3 base hits as the Oakland Athletics bested the Tombstone
Huckleberries 7 to 3 at Oakland Coliseum.
Tombstone was unable to climb back into it after Oakland went ahead for good
in the 4th inning plating one baserunner on 2 base hits. Dyson ripped a
one-base hit. Dyson took his lead and swiped second. Oakland continued
their aggressive style with another stolen base. David Peralta dug into the
batters box next, but he struck out. Yadier Molina followed, but he was set
down on strikes. Carlos Gomez extended the rally and ripped a single scoring
the run. Oakland totaled 12 hits on the night.
Zack Greinke(12-4) got credit for the victory, pitching 6 innings and allowing
1 run. Koji Uehara preserved the game for Greinke, recording his his 11th
save. Corey Kluber(13-5) was tagged with the loss. He was unable to control
the Oakland offense and allowed 9 hits and 3 walks in 6 innings.
