In a one-sided affair the Chicago Colts batters pounded the Hendersonville
Commandoes pitchers for 12 runs while Jeff Samardzija(4-9)with relief help
held Hendersonville to 1 run.
 
Chicago took the lead for good in the top of the 2nd inning scoring 2 runs
using 3 hits.  After an out was recorded, Troy Tulowitzki initiated the
scoring spurt when he slapped a single.  Tulowitzki stole second with some
aggressive base running.  D.J. Lemahieu then stroked a base-hit.  Brian
McCann was up next and he drew a walk to load the bases.  Kevin Pillar came
up to bat and doubled which was good for two runs.  That was all the offense
they were to need.  Hendersonville was out-hit by Chicago, 17 hits to 8.
 
The loss was charged to Erasmo Ramirez(3-8).  He got hit pretty hard, allowing
11 hits and 3 walks in 6 and 1/3 innings.
