The Hoffman Estates Penguins edged the Aarlington Aardvarks at the ballpark by
the score of 5 to 4.
Hoffman Estates won the game with a rally in the 8th inning scoring 4 runners
on 2 hits. The highlight belonged to J.P. Arencibia who deflated the mood of
the partisan fans when he laced a one-base hit scoring two baserunners.
Aarlington had a chance to come back in the 9th but they came up short.
The victory was credited to Dan Jennings(2-1) who went 1 and 1/3 innings,
allowing 1 run. Jeurys Familia got the save, his 21st. Trevor Rosenthal(1-7)
was charged with the loss in relief.
Steve Linke was subdued after the ballgame, 'That one really hurts. If our
guys had simply played more fundamentally sound, we could have won that one.
That is what really ticks me off!'
