Travis D'Arnaud hit 2 doubles as the Hendersonville Commandoes outscored the
Chicago Colts 7 to 5.
Hendersonville scored 4 runs in the decisive 3rd inning with the help of 3
hits. The biggest moment was provided by Brian Dozier who deflated the mood
of the partisan fans when he launched a rocket-shot out of the park for a
Grand Slam homerun. Chicago had a chance to come back in the 9th but they
came up short.
The victory was credited to Rubby De La Rosa(7-8) who went 6 innings, allowing
3 runs. De La Rosa got help from Aroldis Chapman who was credited with his
14th save. The loss was charged to Robbie Ray(4-4). He struck out 9 batters
in 6 innings despite losing the game.
'You have to give Chicago credit, they fought us tough to the end' Miles
Goosens said. 'It could have gone either way, but I'm glad we pulled out the
victory.'
