Paul Goldschmidt went yard and had 4 RBI at Englefield Green as the seemingly
unstoppable Detroit Iron Gloves embarrassed the Hendersonville Commandoes by
the lopsided score of 13 to 1.
Goldschmidt led the offense for Detroit. He smacked a three-run homer in the
2nd inning and slapped a single bringing in a run in the 9th inning. Detroit
bats were hot in the 2nd inning which saw them plate 6 runs on 7 hits and the
9th inning with 5 runs on 5 hits. Detroit ended up with 20 hits for the game
while Hendersonville had 6.
The win was credited to Chris Bassitt(3-0) who went 6 innings allowing 1 run.
Rubby De La Rosa(6-8) was the losing pitcher. He surrendered 6 runs and 6

Detroit continued their winnings ways improving their record to a division
