The Burbank Tigers edged the San Ybel Islanders in 11 innings at the ballpark
by the score of 4 to 3.
Both teams were tied at 3 runs apiece after nine innings. Finally, Burbank
prevailed in the 11th inning. After an out was recorded, Yan Gomes drew a
walk. Elvis Andrus was next and he slapped a one-base hit. Daniel Murphy
then smacked a single giving Burbank the win much to the delight of the home
town crowd. Neither team was able to score until the 7th inning.
Drew Pomeranz(3-3) picked up the victory, allowing 1 run in 3 innings. Chi Chi
Gonzalez(1-1) suffered the loss in relief. He gave up 1 run and 2 hits in
2/3 of an inning.
