Aardvarks topped the Oakland Athletics by the slimmest of margins, 5 to
4.
In the 2nd inning Aarlington scored 3 runs with the help of 3 hits. Cody
Asche initiated the scoring when he clubbed a solo home run. Two outs later
Jung Ho Kang stepped in and he smashed a bases-empty 'big-fly'. Will Venable
then delivered a solo blast. Oakland threatened in the 9th but Aarlington
was able to put down the rally.
Dan Haren(2-8) was the winner allowing 1 run in 7 innings. Haren was helped
out by Trevor Rosenthal who recorded his 9th save. Masahiro Tanaka(8-5) was
hit with the loss. He was touched for 3 homeruns in his 8 innings of work.
