The California Luv nipped the San Ybel Islanders in 13 innings 2 to 1 at
Lawton Stadium in a hard fought contest.
The score was tied at 1 after nine. California won the game in the 13th
inning. After an out was recorded, Wil Myers drew a walk. Christian Colon
stepped into the batter's box and he delivered a base-hit. Kyle Seager then
was hit by a pitch. Miguel Sano stepped in and he laced a one-base hit
resulting in an exciting win for California and a wild post-game celebration
by the home town fans. Both teams ended up with 8 hits on the night.
Tommy Milone(6-1) got credit for the victory, pitching 3 innings and allowing
no runs. Zach Duke(2-4) was given the loss in relief. He pitched 1 and 1/3
innings giving up 2 hits and 1 walk.
