Taylor Jungmann(2-4) and Jeremy Hellickson(1-6) locked horns in a pitcher's
duel with Jungmann and the San Ybel Islanders coming out on top of the
California Luv 2 to 1.
Jungmann gave San Ybel a solid outing. He allowed 6 hits and no walks in 7
innings reducing his ERA from 4.25 to 3.77. California had a chance to come
back in the 9th but they came up short.
Zach Britton gained credit for his 7th save. Greg Edens was subdued after the
ballgame, 'That one really hurts. If our guys had simply played more
fundamentally sound, we could have won that one. That is what really ticks
me off!'
