The Hoffman Estates Penguins defeated the Tampico Stogies by a score of 7 to 4
at Busch Stadium.
Hoffman Estates scored 4 runs in the decisive 4th inning when they had 5 base
hits. The key at-bat was by C.J. Cron who deflated the crowd as he smashed a
two-run homer. Hoffman Estates and Tampico each finished the night with 8
hits.
The victory went to Jason Hammel(4-1) who went 7 innings, allowing 3 runs.
Jeurys Familia earned his 11th save. Tyson Ross(5-2) suffered the loss. He
was knocked around, surrendering 7 runs in 3 and 1/3 innings.
