Andrew Cashner retired 10 batters on strikeouts as the San Ybel Islanders beat
the Tampico Stogies by a score of 4 to 2.
Cashner(3-2) contributed a very nicely pitched game. He allowed only 7 hits
and 1 walk in 8 and 1/3 innings dropping his ERA from 4.20 to 3.76. Tampico
out-hit San Ybel 7 to 4, but San Ybel ended up with more runs.
Cashner got relief help from Zach Britton who gained credit for his 4th save.
Chris Archer(1-5) absorbed the loss. Cashner was humble when questioned
about his performance, 'Well, I felt pretty confident in my pitches tonight.
But, I had great support behind me and I just threw what was called. That
was an extremely well called game!'
