One run was the difference at the ballpark as the Burbank Tigers defeated the
Columbus Crowd in 11 innings 3 to 2.
Both teams were tied at 2 runs apiece after nine innings. Burbank won the
hard fought contest in the 11th inning. After an out was recorded, Ender
Inciarte doubled. Mike Moustakas followed, but he was set down on strikes.
Chris Iannetta then drew a walk. Jace Peterson was up next and he doubled
giving Burbank the win as 27,000 happy fans joyfully celebrated. Both teams
totaled 10 hits on the night.
The win was credited to Drew Pomeranz(2-0) who went 2 innings allowing no
runs. The losing pitcher was Joe Ross(0-1) in relief.
