At Progressive Field, the San Ybel fans witnessed a great pitcher's duel.
Doug Fister(13-6) finally bested his Columbus opposite, Cole Hamels(8-16), by
the score of 4 to 0.
San Ybel took the lead for good in the bottom of the 3rd inning plating one
baserunner. The early run support proved sufficient for Fister and San Ybel.
That was all the run support Fister required. San Ybel banged out 7 hits on
the night.
Zach Britton was credited with his 8th save. Hamels was tagged with the loss.
He pitched 4 and 2/3 innings allowing 3 hits and no walks.
