In a close game it was the San Ybel Islanders 3, the California Luv 1 in 10
innings at Lawton Stadium.
The score was knotted at 1 after nine innings. San Ybel won the game in the
10th inning. Carlos Corporan led off the inning for San Ybel when he
doubled. Denard Span came next and he doubled. Ian Kinsler got his turn
next, but he was a strikeout victim. Dexter Fowler followed, but he was set
down on strikes. Michael Brantley came up to bat and doubled. California
was set down quietly in the bottom of the 10th.
Zach Britton(6-1) allowed no runs in 2 innings, and picked up the victory.
Tony Sipp earned his 3rd save. Tim Lincecum(5-8) was tagged with the loss.
