Left fielder Carl Crawford jacked one out of the ballyard and Kyle Gibson
didn't allow a hit until the 7th inning as the Tombstone Huckleberries
defeated the California Luv by the score of 6 to 0 at Lawton
Stadium.
Gibson(5-4) looked very much in control throughout the night. He allowed only
3 hits and 2 walks in 7 and 2/3 innings lowering his ERA to 3.18. The
right-handed Gibson had his no-hit bid broken up by Eric Hosmer who singled
with one out in the 7th inning. Tombstone finished with 13 hits while
California ended up with 4.
Ian Kennedy(6-12) was the losing pitcher. He got hit hard, allowing 10 hits
and 5 walks in 6 and 1/3 innings. Wth the win Tombstone now has a record of
a division leading 97-55. With the loss California now has a record of
61-91.
