The Detroit Iron Gloves defeated the hopeless Dublin Pubcrawlers by a score of
6 to 3 at Edsel Stadium.
Detroit delivered all the runs required in the 6th inning scoring 6 runners on
3 hits. The big moment was provided by Jay Bruce who made the Detroit fans a
happy lot when he electrified the crowd with a Grand Slam home run. Detroit
totaled 7 hits on the night.
The win was credited to Vidal Nuno(5-5) who went 7 innings allowing 3 runs.
Jake McGee was credited with his 8th save. Madison Bumgarner(5-15) was hit
with the loss.
